Aspen, Colorado, December 11, 2015 – The Aspen Hope Center, dedicated to raising awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health is proud to present “Inspiring Conversations”. Reception will be held from 5pm – 8pm at the Rag and Bone, in downtown Aspen, Colorado. Ten percent of the proceeds this night will go to The Aspen Hope Center to support the crisis response efforts in the community.
The event features “Inspiring Conversations” by artist Jennifer Ivanovic. This is a traveling art installation boldly addressing mental health and speaking out to erase stigma. The show comprises free-formed, poured paintings depicting the struggles and triumphs of living with mental illness. The artist portrays hope and inspiration through her work which blooms with energy and a passion. These paintings challenge prejudices and gives voice to mental health inspirations.
One-quarter of the population will be endure a mental illness this year, a staggering 57.7 million Americans, according to NAMI. Likely, most people already know a friend or family member who is struggling. “Inspiring Conversations” truly inspires the audience to see the hope beyond the struggle, the peace after the pain and the understanding that struggles make us stronger if we connect and find support.
Rag and Bone is located at 433 E Hyman Ave, Aspen and is open Daily, 11:00am to 7:00pm. The artist, Jennifer Ivanovic will be available at the reception. The reception will be held on Friday, December 11, 5-8 pm. Light snacks and drinks will be served.

About the Artist, Jennifer Ivanovic:
Jennifer Ivanovic’s colorful paintings emerge from her unique pouring and “blowing” method. Her art is known for innovative techniques and unconventional use of acrylic paint. Her work has been included in many corporate collections across North America and she has recently won the competitive $10,000 Arrow 5 Year Out Art Challenge. Jennifer has lived in 5 US states, South Africa & New Zealand and currently resides in Fort Collins, Colorado.
